Open Access Policy

Open access to scientific information is important for the Institute for IT, Media and Intellectual Property Law (MLS LEGAL). The open and immediate exchange of research results is the foundation of innovations. Hence, the Institute provides open access to its publications according to the Berlin Declaration on Open Access to Knowledge in the Sciences and Humanities. 

To provide not only open access to scientific information, the Institute decided in 2015 to publish all its publications under a Creative Commons license . 

This does go along with common standards and scientific quality as well as the Rules of Good Scientific Practice by the German Research Foundation (DFG).
